From its sites in Cambridge, Mass., and Zurich, Switzerland, Repertoire’s team of more than 120 is creating a new category of immune medicines enabled from its DECODE discovery platform. The company’s first product in the clinic is a novel multiclonal T cell therapy consisting of T cells derived from the peripheral blood, activated against a curated set of antigens, and armed with a proprietary cytokine. Repertoire is in clinical-stage immuno-oncology development today, targeting metastatic solid tumors. In the field of autoimmunity, Repertoire is using its proprietary platform to discover novel epitopes and TCRs from patients with type 1 diabetes. The company is also using its DECODE platform to discover infectious disease antigens and responding T cell clones.

Role Overview

The Associate Director of People Services Operations is responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of Repertoire’s human resource operations including on-boarding and off-boarding, health and welfare benefits, compensation, HRIS oversight, and compliance.  This individual will build, enhance, and drive foundational policies, processes, procedures, systems, and practices within the HR function to ensure compliance and support a positive employee experience.  Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition and Operations, with a direct report in the role of Human Resources Analyst, this position requires a blend of strategy, tactics, and execution, together with the ability to collaborate and influence at all levels of the company.

This position is based in Cambridge, MA and will be requested to be on-site around two to three days a week.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead operations to ensure effective delivery and execution of HR services and processes (e.g., on-boarding, off-boarding, background checks, visas, leave of absences, general employee questions, open enrollment, immigrations, file audit and compliance, and annual compensation planning) with an emphasis on compliance and employee experience.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day administration of U.S. health and welfare benefits programs, Repertoire’s 401K plan including management of any benefits-related audits.  Support oversight of payroll entries and audits optimizing technology and standard operating procedures.
  • Create and maintain employee policies, taking a modern, innovative approach to balance employee experience with legal requirements. Champion a consistently fair and harassment-free work environment in compliance with all US government regulations including but not limited to: Employee Retirement Income Security Act, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, OSHA, Worker's Compensation, and other applicable labor and/or tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and manage relationships with external vendors, as needed, including oversight of annual benefits plan design, strategy, implementation, and negotiations.
  • Working with HR Business Partnership, process all leaves of absences, determine eligibility for various leave programs including Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) and MA PFML according to established guidelines, and provide employees with required timely notices. Work cooperatively with the Finance Department to ensure paychecks are accurately aligned to leave benefits.
  • Develop and manage HR people metrics and reports.
  • Evaluate HR technological business processes - evaluate key HR business processes and the use of HRIS/ADP to support those processes by coordinating deployment of process improvement and additional functionality.  Document current process, review effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with the CHRO and Head of Corporate Communications in preparation and distribution of communications to inform stakeholders of applicable policies.
  • Provide project management support for a wide range of projects involving employee experience and integrations and system implementations.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field; MA/MS/MBA a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated success in development, implementation, and execution of Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS strategies including 3 to 5 years’ experience leading professional staff.
  • Biotech or pharma industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated expertise in design and implementation of Benefits programs (health, welfare, retirement, wellness) with strong knowledge of related regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in performance management and compensation program design, planning, and implementation.
  • Experience developing reports, collecting, and analyzing data and metrics, as well as using this data to monitor progress and analyze trends.
  • Demonstrated success with leading continuous process improvement activities: review and development of process and procedures; analysis of improvement opportunities, metrics, and success measurements; and effectively driving implementation of improvements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HRIS planning and implementation.
  • Advanced level of computer skills with ability to use advanced features of various software programs including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.  ADP and/or HRIS experience, particularly in data reporting strongly desired. 
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills.
