Role Overview

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Finance Manager has a unique opportunity to play a critical role in advancing the Finance Team’s initiatives to implement robust financial systems, processes and structures to support the company’s growth. This role will focus on advancing management reporting processes and improving the financial planning systems with strong cross functional collaboration and partnerships, primarily focused on the G&A Teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of corporate management reporting including, but not limited to: operating expenses; capital expenses; headcount tracking; cash flow and working capital analysis.
  • Collaborate with the G&A Functional Leaders to develop their Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and quarterly financial forecasts of headcount, expenditures, and funding requirements.
  • Provide summary of plan vs. actual variance of expenses for the G&A Teams on a monthly basis
  • Work closely with the Accounting Team to continuously improve the financial monthly close processes and procedures; provide support for period-end expense accrual analysis. 
  • Assist in the preparation of board of director and executive presentation materials.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and the administration of the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system: NSPB (NetSuite Planning and Budgeting), with the potential to expand responsibility to also cover the ERP system, NetSuite. Develop management dashboards and ad hoc finance application projects that improve the analytics and timeliness of financial reporting.   

 

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration preferred. 
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis; demonstrated track record of success in a finance analysis role with a focus on business system management.
  • Strong experience with Finance Systems such as NetSuite ERP, NetSuite Planning and Budgeting, Oracle Hyperion, and Business Intelligence (BI) analytical systems.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to manage large amounts of data by applying BI tools, such as SmartView Ad Hoc analysis.
  • A “can do” attitude, who will dive into the details and manage the tactical tasks applying advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to relate to diverse internal and external constituents. 
  • Enjoys and thrives in a fast-changing environment. 
  • Intellectually curious, highly adaptable, with a strong willingness to continuously learn and improve.
  • Experience with public companies preferred.
