Role Overview

We are seeking a Manager/Sr. Process Engineer to lead a Process Development team and to drive our multi-antigen specific Deep Primed™ T cell therapy platform.  Leading from the laboratory bench, we seek an individual who can lead a team of Process Engineers and Process development scientists in defining, designing, and executing process development studies.  The Manager/Sr. Process Engineer will report to the Sr. Director of Process Development and Manufacturing and will be responsible for developing Repertoire’s  platform of mobilizing the immune system to eradicate cancer.  Working closely within the CMC team on novel R&D programs, this group leader will be involved with process development, characterization, and engineering as well as operating upstream and downstream cell processing equipment.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, and breaking new ground in the cell therapy space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a group of scientists and engineers in the experimental development and optimization of Repertoire’s cell therapy manufacturing process.
  • Design and Execute experiments to establish process parameters and identify process scale-up activities to support process tech transfer to clinical manufacturing.
  • Provide design input and execute well-controlled experiments to drive process improvements.
  • Working collaboratively with discovery, analytical development, and manufacturing science colleagues, the group leader will advance technology development initiatives and contribute to process engineering efforts.


  • MS with 5+ years of experience, or PhD with 3+ years of experience in a cell therapy or related industry.
  • Experience managing direct reports and/or leading lab-based teams
  • Experience with the use of Design of Experiments, Quality by Design and cell therapy process development methods is preferred.
  • Experience with semi-automated and automated cell separation and processing equipment such as Elutra, Sepax, Lovo, Rotea, and CliniMACS, etc
  • Experience with human T cells isolation and culture is preferred. Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques or primary cell culture is must required.
  • Experience interpreting analytical methods used to characterize immune cell-based therapies. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication, highly organized with significant attention to detail.
