From its sites in Cambridge, Mass., and Zurich, Switzerland, Repertoire’s team of more than 120 is creating a new category of immune medicines enabled from its DECODE discovery platform.  The company’s first product in the clinic is a novel multiclonal T cell therapy consisting of T cells derived from the peripheral blood, activated against a curated set of antigens, and armed with a proprietary cytokine.  Repertoire is in clinical-stage immuno-oncology development today, targeting metastatic solid tumors.  In the field of autoimmunity, Repertoire is currently using its proprietary platform to discover novel epitopes and TCRs from patients with type 1 diabetes.  However, we are currently expanding our remit into other autoimmune disorders.  The company is also using its DECODE platform to discover infectious disease antigens and responding T cell clones.

Role Overview

We are seeking an LabSystems Business Analyst to join the Immune Decode Lab.  The primary role of the Business Analyst is to lead the laboratory IT (lab informatics) requirements gathering to support scientific research objectives at Repertoire.  We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible team player who will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment.  You will work as part of a cross-functional team of immunologists, molecular biologists, and protein scientists to successfully automate processes to ensure the ability to scale-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementation of a validated Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Author IT specific business requirements for specific laboratory software.
  • Administer, configure, and maintain software applications and databases.
  • Provide end-user support and training to scientists across the company.
  • Coordinate user requests and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Partner with the division representatives to deliver full life cycle system implementations, including but not limited to, for the Scientific Data Management System, Electronic Laboratory Notebook, LIMS, EDMS, instrumentation and analysis applications, and business systems such as SharePoint, Lucidchart, and Smartsheet’s.
  • Collaborate with vendor resources, internal customers, and within the distributed IT team to deliver software system support that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Analyze and author new requirements and modify systems to adjust to changing business processes.
  • Effectively communicate issue status, technical solutions, and recommendations to customers, management, and colleagues.
  • Develop and document system administration procedures (work instructions) and best practices.

Qualifications/Experience

  • S. in Computer Sciences, Biology, or related discipline with 10 plus years’ of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience administering, configuring, implementing, and supporting enterprise software systems such as LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), SDMS (Scientific Data Management System), instrumentation software, ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook), and laboratory instrumentation systems and software.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with configuration management, scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript), and development operations activities.
  • Experience with or exposure to Benchling ELN, off-the-shelf Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), bioinformatics tools, and instrument systems software desired.
  • Working knowledge of MS SharePoint administration and Smartsheet’s.
  • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills working cross-functionally and across geographic locations.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting and administering enterprise software systems in a distributed (multi-site) environment.
  • Experience working in IT within the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or Life Sciences industry.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in diverse technical areas.
  • Ability to work creatively and efficiently handling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and execution skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, customers, and management.
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to exercise sound judgment on both technical and non-technical matters.
  • Learn new systems and technologies quickly.
  • Capable of high performance in independent work as well as in a team setting.
