We are currently looking for a Architect, Cloud Engineering & Operations to join our team in Pune. This will be hybrid role that will require the individual to work from our office space in Amar Tech Park, three days per week.
The Architect, Cloud Engineering & Operations will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions on the AWS platform. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services, cloud architecture, and best practices. The candidate will work closely with development teams, infrastructure engineers, and security professionals to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based applications.
Essential Functions:
- Design and implement cloud-based solutions on the AWS platform, ensuring adherence to best practices, security standards, and scalable architecture frameworks.
- Architect, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, VPCs, S3 buckets, and other AWS services, with a strong focus on cost optimization strategies to maximize cloud efficiency.
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform, ensuring infrastructure is scalable, maintainable, and easily reproducible.
- Implement robust security measures, including the integration of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions and Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP) to monitor and protect cloud-based resources from vulnerabilities, threats, and compliance issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based services, leveraging AWS best practices for resilient and redundant design.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to migrate applications to the cloud, optimize performance, and implement security policies across the infrastructure, leveraging tools like AWS IAM, AWS Shield, and GuardDuty.
- Implement and enforce cost monitoring and optimization solutions using AWS services like AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, and third-party tools to ensure cost-effective resource usage.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure and performance metrics using AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools, setting up automated alerts for potential issues and integrating with SIEM tools for real-time threat detection.
- Ensure that all cloud architectures adhere to scalability and redundancy best practices, making use of autoscaling, load balancing, and global distribution strategies to maintain performance under varying loads.
- Stay updated with the latest AWS services and technologies and actively evaluate and integrate cloud-native tools such as AWS Security Hub and AWS Well-Architected Tool to maintain industry best practices in security, scalability, and compliance.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in cloud technologies and best practices, with an emphasis on security, performance optimization, and scalable architecture design.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree is required.
- 12+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Deep understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and others.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation.
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance best practices
- Strong understanding of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools, CNAPP (Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms), and other cloud security tools to safeguard cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Ansible.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
