Relatient Inc. in Atlanta, GA seeks a Vice President of Engineering to define & execute the technology vision and strategy aligned with the company's overall goals, collaborating with the executive team to identify opportunities for technological innovation and differentiation. Lead the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships. Identify, compare, select, and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs. Oversee the design, development, and deployment of the company's SaaS healthcare products. Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, analysts, and designers to create high-quality, user-centric software solutions, managing the delivery of IT services to internal teams and external customers. Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of SaaS applications to meet customer expectations. Develop and implement comprehensive information security policies and practices to protect sensitive healthcare data, monitoring and mitigating security risks, including data breaches and cyber threats. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as HIPAA, HITRUST and SOC2. Lead the design and implementation of robust and scalable infrastructure, leveraging cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for optimal performance. Optimize resource utilization, cost-effectiveness, and disaster recovery planning. Manage and optimize infrastructure assets to satisfy internal financial targets. Define the technical architecture and standards for the company's SaaS products, ensuring they are modular, scalable, and adaptable. Evaluate and adopt new technologies that can enhance product capabilities and user experience. Recruit, mentor, and lead a diverse team of technical professionals, training management staff in the department. Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and technology providers to ensure seamless integration and support for the company's solutions. Develop and manage the technology budget, allocating resources effectively to support product development, security, and infrastructure needs. Stay informed about industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to healthcare technology and SaaS delivery, ensuring company's technology practices align with these regulations and standards. Collaborate with other executives, to align technology initiatives with overall business strategies, communicating technical concepts and progress to nontechnical stakeholders effectively. Fully remote position. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, its foreign equiv. or related field & 5 yrs of experience as software engineering manager or related occupation. Work experience must include 1) working with Agile frameworks – SCRUM, KANBAN, Scaled Agile, Xtreme Programming; 2) extensive hands-on experience in software development, cloud architecture, infrastructure design, and IT professionals and cross-functional teams in a collaborative work environment; 3) leading and overseeing the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to deployment; 4) demonstrated knowledge of agile methodologies and successful product launches; 5) proficiency in cloud technologies and architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) including experience in designing scalable and cost-effective cloud infrastructure; 6) demonstrated understanding of IT service delivery processes, including incident management and resolution and ensuring reliability and availability of Saas applications; 7) experience aligning technology strategies with business objectives while identifying opportunities for technological advancement and differentiation; 8) demonstrated ability to interact with stakeholders, executives, non-technical teams, and clients articulating technical concepts required. Fully remote position. 25% domestic and international travel required.
