The Ready Mix Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive growth and profitability in the ready mix concrete sector. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with customers, developing strategic partnerships, and promoting the company's products and services. The Ready Mix Business Development Manager will work closely with the sales, marketing, and production teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Essential Duties and Functions:
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company growth targets.
  • Collaborate with the production, Dispatch and QC teams to ensure timely delivery and quality of products.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the ready mix concrete market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute promotional campaigns.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Prepare and present business proposals, contracts, and sales reports to senior management.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with customers to maximize profitability.
  • Participate in industry events to promote the company's products and services.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Other assignments as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.
  • Strong understanding of ready mix concrete products and their applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Knowledge of Command software. 
  • This position may require travel to customer sites and industry events.
  • The role may involve working outside of regular business hours to meet customer needs.
