The Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic will  be part of a mobile construction crew who will service the Western states where our crews are currenlty performing work. The Field Mechanic will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on our Heavy and Diesel Equipment when and where it is necessary. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Travel in a Commercial maintenance truck to various jobsites throughout the western US.
  • Repair and maintenance on specialized equipment such as, oil distributor trucks, loaders/rollers, macropavers, pick-up trucks, and other various equipment.
  • The right candidate will be a self-starter, self-motivated, punctual, organized, a hardworking individual with good mechanical skills.
  • Will be required to work on hydraulics and electrical systems.
  • Able to follow direction unsupervised and work well alone or in a team environment.
  • This position will require travel to work on the equipment at various sites in the surrounding area and out of town and out of state work.
  • Must be able to work all hours as needed, overtime and weekends.
  • Visual inspections repair and preventative maintenance on all construction equipment.
  • Works in the shop when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years' experience in diesel truck and heavy construction equipment repair
  • Basic welding & metal fabrication
  • Must have own tools.
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License required.

EDUCATIONS and/or WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years' experience in diesel truck and heavy equipment repair
