Lead Software Engineer (TS/SCI with Polygraph required)

A day in the life:
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to support a mission-critical program by designing and delivering secure, scalable software solutions. In this role, you will lead the development of a comprehensive AWS-based full-stack application designed to modernize and enhance the storage and management of encryption keys. You will leverage Java and Python for backend development, ReactJS for frontend development, and Kubernetes and Docker to build and deploy containerized applications.
As a technical leader, you will provide guidance to engineering teams, collaborate closely with customer stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges, and help advance secure data protection capabilities through the design and implementation of encryption key management solutions. This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule with up to three days of telework per week, based on program and customer requirements. Because this position supports a mission critical application there may be a need for 24/7 support shared by the team, if this occurs you would receive pay differential.
What you bring to the table:
- B.S. in Computer Science or related course of study, or equivalent year’s experience
- 8+ years of Java development experience
- 8+ years experience with modern development practices
- Experience with REST APIs
- Experience with Agile methodology
- TS/SCI with Polygraph level of security clearance
Bonus Skills:
- Familiarity developing and supporting encryption libraries and key management capabilities to ensure secure data protection and system integrity.
- Experience working with AWS, React Js, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Kubernetes
- Ability to drive successful solution implementations by applying best practices across planning, technical documentation, testing, and defect resolution.
- Ability to contribute to project planning activities and communicate project progress, risks, and milestones with stakeholders.
The total package:
- Disclosed pay ranges are a general guideline, and are not a guarantee of a final salary or compensation. Our approach in determining final salaries takes into consideration a number of factors such as education, certifications, total years of relevant professional experience, actual level of expertise, and the responsibilities of the role itself.
- Based on the outlined roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is: $180,000 - $225,000.
