Position Title:Quality Manager (EMEA)

Position Summary

The Quality Manager will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the quality program for the EMEA Energy Business Unit projects.

 

The candidate will assist in developing and maintaining project quality plans, drive quality system performance, lead system and technical audits and provide training as required.  This role is also to support the coordination and resolution of project /product issues, and customer support.

 

Support in the development and implementation of site quality and supplier assessment programs. This individual will be required to work closely with the EPC, including but not limited to subject matter experts, technical and business lead, and project managers. This role will be instrumental in helping Recurrent Energy promote a strong Quality culture from the development phase through to the build, commissioning, and the O&M/Asset Management handover process. 

 

A strong focus on the continuous improvement processes, this role will perform a range of duties supporting all divisions to ensure sustainable business operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support investigations on critical quality issues and help drive solutions,
  • Engage engineering and procurement in supplier evaluation.
  • Develop and maintain project and supplier quality plans.
  • Ensure adequate training/awareness of company personnel for Quality requirements.
  • Prepare statistical data which will show quality trends for the organization
  • Support the review  and auditing of contractor’s quality program and that plans are acceptable to the company’s quality requirements.
  • Help support project teams with written technical responses to Customers / Subcontractors on quality issues as required.
  • Ensure Customer/Owner Satisfaction is monitored/measured, with improvement/ corrective actions taken in a timely manner.
  • Develop a robust quality program to support the EPC teams in the construction of solar and battery storage projects.
  • Lead the documenting and maintaining of processes and ensure all are released through the relevant Document Control system.
  • Maintain and administer a NCR reporting process, ensuring they are addressed promptly investigated, corrective and preventive actions are proposed, implemented, and closed out promptly.
  • Support Lessons Learned initiatives.
  • Provide oversight on site quality requirements.
  • Responsible for technical responses to customers on quality issues, lead investigation and drive corrective actions in conjunction with Project Teams
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards,
  • Lead and manage internal audit program, provide trainings, coaching internal audit teams.

 

Functional Competencies:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in Quality within a manufacturing / EPC environment.
  • Quality Control background including problem solving and root cause analysis,
  • Minimum of 3 years education special consideration given to Quality Accreditation’s (ASQ/AIAG) and technical courses completed (Auditor, etc.),
  • Experience with ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 systems

 

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to drive process/product quality control, lean manufacturing,
  • Lean / Six sigma experience an asset.
  • Professional demeanor at all times,
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and trustworthy as they encounter complex and sensitive documents.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint and other cloud based software.
  • Strong leadership abilities and confident, consistent decisive personality,
  • Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed,
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Desire for innovative thinking and continual learning
  • Excellent coaching, mentoring, mediation, and negotiation skills.
