Position Title: O&M Commercial Manager
Department: Operations & Maintenance        
Reports To: Senior Director, O&M America & Global Strategy
The O&M Commercial Manager is responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing O&M agreements. In addition, the successful candidate will support business development activities such as creation of cost models and supporting RFP responses. 
 
Key responsibilities
  • Review, edit, negotiate, and finalize utility scale solar PV and BESS O&M contracts with external customers.
  • Cross departmental coordination for contracting internal projects.
  • Communicate commercial risks associated with proposed terms and conditions to executive and operational leaders and propose business-minded options.
  • Track contract modifications, amendments, extensions, and closeouts, and partner with operational leaders to ensure related protocols are performed and documented both timely and appropriately.
  • Partner with internal and external counsel on commercial, compliance, and contract litigation matters, as needed.
  • Create cost models for solar PV and BESS projects.
  • Supporting business development team with response to customer request for proposals.
 
Education/Training
  • Bachelors degree (law, business, commercial) preferred.
  • PMP or Contract Management Certification would be an asset.
 
Technical Skills
  • 3+ years of primary responsibility for contract management and reporting.
  • Experience managing contracts with energy sector, renewables or engineering companies is preferred.
  • Demonstrated solid understanding of legal terminology and contract provisions.
  • Highly self-motivated with good communication skills
  • Able to create and maintain good relations with the different stakeholders in the organization.
  • Good leadership skills and management skills.
  • Superior teamwork experience and collaboration skills with multi-disciplinary internal and external teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and similar office software.
  • Excellent workload management prioritization skills while working under strict deadlines.
