Location:     

Priority is given to candidates who can work in a flexible hybrid model from one of our office in Austin. In addition, monthly travel may be required to a project site.

Position Summary: 

Asset Management role is responsible for supporting all analytical aspects of the Energy Group Global Asset Management/Commercial Operations function, including reporting, modeling, forecasting, contract & document management, compliance, and market transaction processes. The position will work extensively with different regions and other centralized teams including Legal, Corporate Finance, Development, Origination and Structuring, Commercial Operations and Project Finance. 

  

The Asset Management role is a CRITICAL function to execute Recurrent Energy’s transition from a develop and flip entity to a long-term owner-operator of utility-scale solar and storage projects globally.   

  

Responsibilities: 

  • Track operational & financial metrics for operating projects & drive improvements
  • Build and maintain tools and standards to streamline process, data analysis, project tracking, documentation, and reporting.
  • Manage the development, preparation, and analysis of performance & financial reports for the operating projects; identify trends across project inputs and KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and other reporting obligations for operating projects.
  • Compile financial models and economic analysis related to operating projects.
  • Manage document administration & management for operating projects.
  • Assist Corporate Finance in financial administration for operating projects: billing & revenue collection, invoice tracking, settlements etc.
  • Assist Compliance team in creating summaries of project agreements & tracking on-going obligations.
  • Perform power market economic analysis related to renewable energy; manage shadow settlements and coordinate billing and revenue expectations with Corporate Finance; manage ISO/RTO disputes.
  • Coordinate with Scheduling Coordinators to manage settlement statements and associated data.
  • Assist with management of settlements software and onboarding of projects.
  • Build relations with regional teams throughout the globe; identify & execute upon opportunities for adding value to regional activities (e.g., reporting, standardization, optimization, best practices, transaction support).
  • Support 3rd Party Asset Management & services initiatives, seek opportunities for value-add and monetization, be an external advocate for services platform.
  • Work with internal cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Corporate Finance etc.) to establish shared service agreements to enable support to & from regions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Familiarity with project agreements and terms, with the ability to identify and manage material terms.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills relating to significant contact and communication with internal & external customers.
  • Strong understanding of grid-tied PV system design, operation, management, & financing.
  • Evidence of solid process development & documentation skills.
  • Highly resourceful and comfortable working in an unstructured environment.

  • Experience with compliance, NERC, FERC, and other reporting obligations for operating projects a plus.

  

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-5 years’ experience in asset management, contract management, performance engineering or data analysis roles, preferably in Renewable Energy industry.
  • High level of professionalism, results oriented, organized, highly motivated and detailed.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, multi-task and strong analytical skills.
  • Computer literacy, excellent abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
