What You Will be Working on:

As Realty Income’s Commercial Leasing Legal  Assistant, you will join our established and expanding team of in-house legal professionals to support the operations and continuing growth of a top U.S. REIT.  Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite, coupled with a keen eye for detail, will help you to hit the ground running. Our Legal group is expanding quickly, and we are excited for you to grow with us!  If you are eager to work alongside a diverse group of attorneys and legal professionals, as well as create effective cross-department relationships, this role is for you! This position can be based in Phoenix, AZ; Atlanta, GA; or our corporate office in San Diego.

Your focus will include:

  • Assist with preparation and drafting of transactional documents and notices
  • Assist with managing and coordinating leasing and disposition transactions, and landlord-tenant and lease administration matters
  • Assemble documents for closing of real estate transactions
  • Assist with post-closing follow up and preparation of transaction reports and other interdepartmental communications
  • Assist with records retention and filing
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

What You’ll Need to be Successful

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant or on-point legal assistant or real estate experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Access; basic internet research capabilities
  • Able to follow instructions, manage a reasonably large workload and meet deadlines
  • Reliable; have an effective working relationship with colleagues and work well with a diverse group
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including performing duties with a reasonably high degree of accuracy and timeliness
  • Attention to detail and time management ability
  • Possess aptitude for analytical and critical thinking which could be further developed with experience
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written), ability to be supervised and take direction, while generally working independently and taking the initiative to seek guidance as appropriate
  • Combination of education, training, experience, skills and other characteristics that would provide the requisite knowledge and abilities in support of the essential job functions
