Job Title:  Maintenance Assistant
Hourly Rate: Up to $21.50/hr. - Depending on experience.
Benefits: Yes 
Shift: 2nd Shift, M-F
Monday - Thursday from 4:00 pm - 1:30 am, Friday from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Will be on first shift 7:00 AM – 3:30PM to start and during training period.

Summary: The Assistant Maintenance Technician will be responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance on all equipment in the facility.  They will monitor and work with automation associates to ensure the automation equipment is kept running.  Work with the management team on conveyor issues to minimize any down time on the conveyor system. Keep up with any building repairs and preventative maintenance.  And other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:

 

·         Complete daily checks of equipment and building.

·         Assist with repairs on all equipment.

·         Preventative maintenance on all equipment and building.

·         Assist with work on all existing conveyor.

·         Assist with work with lighting.

·         Assist with work on plumbing.

·         Assist with work on electrical.

·         Help with troubleshooting on all automated equipment.

·         Baler Upkeep.

·         Help with work on all areas of our Network.

·         Help maintain all printers.

·         Help maintain and monitor our rolling equipment.

·         Operate the Tennant floor scrubber.

 

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent plus at least two years additional training/education and two to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Basic working knowledge of PLC’s

·         Basic computer skills.

·         Safety orientated.

·         Basic electrical.

·         Basic plumbing.

·         Basic pneumatic knowledge.

·         Basic conveyor Repair.

·         Basic electronic skills.

·         Basic knowledge of baler operations.

·         Basic networking skills

·         Minor machine shop skills.

·         Work with all power tools

·         Basic knowledge of barcode readers and scanners.

·         Mechanical abilities.

·         Basic fork-lift skills.

Physical Requirements: The requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to stand and walk up 8 to 10 hours a day.
  • Must be able repetitively reach up and out.
  • Must be able push/pull up to 25 pounds repeatedly and occasionally push/pull up to 75 Lbs.
  • Will frequently lift to 50 Lbs. and occasionally lift to 75 Lbs.

Competencies:

 

·         Must have good communication skills.

·         Good training skills and ability to help on automation equipment when needed.

·         Flexible work schedule is a must.

·         No issues with heights or tight spaces.
