We are currently recruiting for a Director of Data Management based out of our corporate headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois. The position is eligible to participate in a hybrid schedule.

The Director of Data Management is responsible for the direction and oversight of the organization’s overall data strategy and implementation to meet the current and future goals of the business. This includes architecture, maintenance, storage, auditing, and policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, quality, efficiency, and security for both on-premises and cloud-hosted environments using industry best practices. The Director of Data Management is also expected to oversee the collection and usage of information in the business data warehouse, implement analytic solutions and tools, and document these solutions and the technical data architecture.

What You Will Be Doing:  

  • Collaborate with IT leadership and business partners to facilitate weekly project reviews with cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in the development and execution of the IT strategic plan and budgeting.
  • Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision of activities, scheduling and timekeeping, professional development, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Analyze and manage resource capacity and provide recommendations.
  • Recommend new hardware/software to improve productivity and operational efficiencies.
  • Perform as a project manager to maintain project plans and timelines, a consistent issue-tracking process, and provide documentation for all meetings, status updates, and reports.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), architectural diagrams, and data flows.
  • Provide ongoing support in a 24x7x365 environment.
  • Assist with day-to-day support when required.
  • Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested.


What You Will Need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is required.
  • Master’s Degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
  • Five (5) plus years of database administration experience in Microsoft SQL Server is required.
  • Five (5) plus years of data warehousing experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Cloud services is required.
  • Five (5) plus years of technical management experience in Microsoft SQL Server is required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with EDI software is preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations is preferred.
  • Ability to manage team members who are remote and onsite.
  • Ability to work individually, in person, and remotely, with non-technical personnel to implement and troubleshoot day-to-day support issues. 
  • Strong collaboration, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to mentor, motivate, lead, and develop technical personnel.
  • Strong to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is preferred.
  • Solid attention to detail and ability to multitask. 
  • Team-oriented, hardworking, open-minded, and flexible.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to speak with all levels of the organization and outside partners.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • The work performed is in an office environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Salary Range: $165,000 - $172,000
