The District Operations Auditor will be remotely based out of Denver, Colorado or Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The role is responsible for completing Operational Audits in the territory that covers CO/WY/MT/ID/UT/OK plus small part of west TX to obtain important business intelligence. Expectation is to be on the road 2 weeks a month.both Colorado and Oklahoma to obtain important business intelligence. Through scheduled visits to our Customer's stores, the District Operations Auditor will help our Vendors and ReaderLink succeed with merchandising excellence and maximizing sales and improving efficiencies. The role will report to Regional Operations Audit Manager and a company car will be provided.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Build key relationships within the district; excellent communication skills are essential to this function.
  • Build partnerships with store management by meeting regularly during each audit visit, to discuss sales opportunities and determine if RDS is meeting their service expectations.
  • Promote the ReaderLink Brand.
  • Conduct operational audits, evaluating ReaderLink procedures and processes to streamline and improve efficiencies.
  • Provide ReaderLink with valuable business intelligence obtained from store personnel and vendors.
  • Analyze sales and schedule store visits in poor-performing markets to determine issues and help increase sales.
  • Facilitate vendor training sessions in markets as directed by Regional Operations Audit Manager.
  • Create Training Documents and Videos to be utilized as teaching tools.
  • Follow-up on store issues to ensure Vendors address per our standard operation procedures, and issues are not repeated.
  • Schedule vendor meetings in markets to assist them achieve overall merchandising excellence and maximize sales.
  • Promote a team environment.
  • Monitor and visit new store and remodels, meet with store planners to create a smooth transition.
  • Provide weekly market recaps.
  • Submit expenses weekly.


What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three to five (3-5) years' Field Merchandising experience preferred.
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Skills to accurately report information by due dates/deadlines.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel as needed up to 50% of the work week.
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects/requests.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – in person, phone, email, presentations, etc.
  • Fast learner, team player, and aggressive problem solver.
  • Desire to advance and grow within the company.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to speak with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Basic knowledge of retail math skills.
  • Employee must be able to use common sense to solve problems and improve existing processes.
  • Work is performed in the field at retail stores and occasionally at a home office.
