Pay: $23.00-$25.00
Location: 43756 S Sumas Rd, Chilliwack, BC V2R 4L6

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Junior Grower to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about plants and greenhouse production who is looking to grow their career in horticulture. You will work closely with the growing team to support plant health and production, with the opportunity to gradually take on responsibility for several acres of greenhouse-grown crops.

Key Responsibilities
- Support plant care activities including watering, fertilization, and integrated pest management
- Assist in establishing and maintaining optimal environmental conditions (light, temperature, humidity) for plant growth
- Help plan and execute planting schedules, germination, and crop cycles
- Identify and report insect, disease, and weed issues; assist with control measures
- Assist with planting, transplanting, pruning, feeding, and spraying crops
- Monitor crop health and quality, ensuring high production standards are met
- Support labour planning and daily workflow within the growing area
- Assist in training and guiding team members as needed
- Ensure safety protocols, cleanliness, and sanitation standards are followed
- Help maintain greenhouse infrastructure, equipment, and supplies
- Operate production equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs
- Assist with inventory control, order preparation, and tracking saleable product
- Perform general greenhouse duties including weeding, deleafing, and cleaning
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- Previous experience in greenhouse, nursery, or agricultural work is an asset
- Education in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field is preferred (or currently pursuing)
- Strong interest in plant production and greenhouse operations
- Basic knowledge of plant care, pest management, and environmental controls is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility over time
- Physically capable of performing demanding work (lifting, standing, repetitive tasks)
- Flexible availability to meet the needs of plant production
