HOURS: Variable (based on seasonal demand, open availability preferred Monday through Saturday)

About the Role 
Rainbow Greenhouses is hiring a Seasonal Merchandiser Support to assist our Home Depot garden center program through the busy spring season and beyond.  This role is a seasonal position, hours vary based on demand. Full availability is preferred.  
 
This position supports the Supervisor and merchandising teams across multiple Home Depot Garden Center locations. You will step in to cover absences, assist during high-volume periods, help resolve store-level challenges, and maintain your own assigned stores to a high merchandising standard. 
This role is ideal for someone dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a fast-paced seasonal team in outdoor environments. 
 
 
What You Will Do 
  • Support multiple Home Depot garden center locations as needed  
  • Step in to cover merchandiser shifts due to absences or scheduling gaps  
  • Assist the Supervisor during peak periods and vacations  
  • Merchandise and maintain outdoor plant displays to company standards  
  • Rotate, cull, and care for live goods to ensure quality and freshness  
  • Build, restock, and organize displays as new shipments arrive  
  • Ensure garden centers are clean, organized, and customer-ready  
  • Troubleshoot and resolve store-level issues quickly and professionally  
  • Communicate updates, photos, and reports to Supervisors and leadership  
  • Travel between store locations as needed (mileage reimbursed)  
  • Maintain flexibility to adapt to changing daily and seasonal priorities  
What You Bring 
  • Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable with changing schedules  
  • Dependability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to completing seasonal shifts, including early mornings  
  • Comfort working outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions  
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision  
  • Physical capability to lift, push, pull, carry, and move products of varying weights  
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to high presentation standards  
  • Positive, professional communication and customer service skills  
  • Experience in merchandising and/or retail is an asset  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume seasonal environment  
  • Ability to problem-solve on the go and adapt to changing priorities  
  • Access to an active cell phone and CSA-approved steel-toe shoes  
  • Full availability during the seasonal period (those unable to work 40 hours/week may not be an ideal fit)  
  • Saturday availability is required
