Description

Rackspace is seeking a Technical On-boarding Manager to join the Managed Public Cloud Implementation team with a strong background in project management. In this role you will be the primary point of contact within Rackspace and will help on-board customers; coordinating and monitoring Managed Public Cloud (AWS, Azure and Google) Builds from initiation through delivery for both simple and complex engagements, minimize risk, optimize operations and support business growth through pro-active and personable interactions. You will build short-term relationships with customers during their on-boarding experience and long-term relationships with Sales, Technical Overlay Services, Service Delivery and Support understanding their business goals and operational capability in order to best align and manage both Rackspace and our customers to drive outstanding outcomes.

Working with solution architects, sales, and support you will be the executor of the Build Implementation experience between Rackspace and their portfolio of Managed Public Cloud customers. Coordinating Rackspace teams, managing and reporting on build times and overseeing capacity management, you will focus on establishing a deep understanding of the on-boarding experience taking opportunities to improve and develop how Rackspace delivers a Fanatical Experience for our customers.

The successful candidate will leverage their project management experience to co-ordinate Rackspace and customer teams, forecasting capacity, scheduling and planning, always delivering within established timescales and exceeding customer’s expectations.

 

Qualifications:   

  • 2+ years relevant business to business service/relationship management experience
  • Solid understanding of cloud technology
  • Ability to adapt working style and approach to best communicate with various business and technical contacts
  • Experience with managing projects end to end and coordinating with multiple departments.
  • Expected to get AWS Business and Technical Accreditation
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to change

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant hosting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, Azure and/or Google
  • Certified Scrum Master, PMP
