We are seeking a Senior Global Benefits Specialist to be responsible for the administration and support of a holistic framework of financial and non-financial rewards that reflects the organization’s strategy to attract, motivate and retain top talent. Under the direction of the Director, Global Benefits & Wellness, we will rely on you to work with in-country stakeholders from HR, finance and business leadership to develop, administer and communicate traditional benefits elements: health, life & disability cover, time off benefits, pensions, well-being strategies, work/life benefits and ongoing program communication.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and continually advance global benefits initiatives and programs to align with business strategy and ensure the right mix and offerings are available to attract and retain an innovative, high caliber workforce around the world.
  • Develop and lead the process for all benefits related requests for proposals/negotiation with vendors of health, dental, life insurance, etc. This person will be the primary contact with international benefits brokers on all benefit issues. Includes monthly and annual review of health benefits, costing, plan design changes, etc.
  • Design, develop, and manage renewal calendar and processes and governance for all global employee benefit programs, including time away, health and welfare, and retirement program
  • Ensures program compliance with all applicable local and national governance and employment legislation including program or policy design, documentation and reporting.
  • Collaborates with the HRIS team (Workday) to ensure system configuration is accurate and reports are being run in a timely manner and relevant file feeds to/from carriers are timely and accurate.
  • Recommend systems enhancements to improve effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Evaluates and monitors local benefits brokers and global benefits consultants to ensure appropriate service levels are met.
  • Assists Director to develop a communications strategy to ensure benefit programs are communicated in a meaningful and relevant manner that engages and educates employees.
  • Documents all international related processes and creates a workflow for each countries’ plans

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Benefits or HR certificates preferred such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certified Benefit Professional (CBP), PHR, SHRM-CP
  • At least 5 years, preferably 8-10 years, of progressively challenging and relevant HR experience including:
    • Experience in a benefits administration role involving benefits, wellness and other financial and non-financial rewards.
    • Experience with HR Technology.
    • Experience with compensation and benefit design and execution globally and in emerging geographical markets a significant plus
    • Experience with Workday strongly preferred.
