Description

The Senior HR Advisor will own a full case load of employee relations cases and will take the lead on complex, large scale matters.  You will be responsible for leading on a variety of project work that will support Rackspace transformation efforts. You will ensure that Rackspace is compliant with new legislation and best practice, with a continuous focus on process improvement and efficiency.  As a member of the team, you will also have shared responsibility to ensure all front- line and Manager queries are responded to in a timely manner.  As a Senior HR Advisor you will need to be comfortable with ambiguity and be able to stretch between tactical and complex workload, often working against tight timelines.

You will be required to travel to our other offices in Slough, Cardiff & Crawley from time to time.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Support and coach leaders, managers and HR colleagues in understanding and complying with all employee relations policies and practices, ensuring consistency and compliance with local employment law legislation.
  • Proactively partner with Managers to drive high performance and provide guidance and support on any performance related issues.
  • Manage a broad range of disciplinary and grievance cases using a combination of employment expertise and experience of driving the right outcome for both the employee and the organisation.
  • Work on restructures and redundancies resulting from business changes/requirements.
  • Manage and deliver against a series of projects that support the HR team to simplify and evolve ways of working and equip line managers to be more self-sufficient.
  • Support, guide and enable line managers and Rackers to understand, implement and reinforce company policies and procedures to include maternity, paternity & flexible working, sickness absence and Occupational Health referrals.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the HR Generalist team and global counterparts and HR Business Partners to ensure high quality, consistent Racker and Manager experience is delivered regardless of region.
  • Support the HR Administrator to manage simple Employee Relations case work and provide coverage.
  • Support the Business Partner and Managers with the merit planning, performance cycle and engagement initiatives in line with our global cadence, interfacing with global counterparts as necessary.

  • CIPD education desirable Proficient in Microsoft office with advanced excel and PowerPoint skills.
