We are seeking a Financial Systems Analyst for our Business Operations team to serve as liaison between the global CFO Group and global Rackspace Technical Teams. In this role you will gather and document business processes, system and functional requirements of a product. You will create detailed use cases, user stories, and test scenarios, coordinate User Acceptance Testing and approvals.  You may play an active role in training of business end users.

 

Responsibilities:
Partner with product owners and leaders for the financial applications in use by CFO Group and tailor our level of service based on their existing need and sophistication.

Serves as liaison between the CFO Group and Rackspace Technical Teams.

Partner with business end users to understand business processes.

Participates in User Acceptance Testing and ensures test cases are completely tested and signed off on by appropriate project team members.

Analyzes results of testing to ensure solution matches the documented business need.

Utilize understanding of technology, business processes, accounting/finance, and financial systems to accomplish improvement goals.

Continuously seek knowledge of leading practices as it pertains to financial systems

May lead small projects from beginning to end.

Participates in system conversions, implementations, business process design, and other special projects as assigned.

May serve as mentor to interns.

 

An ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in business preferred or 6 years of business analysis experience required. 

Intermediate accounting knowledge.  Desired understanding of General Ledger, Financial Statements, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Tax practices.

Ability to analyze financial data and detect errors or potential problems.

Intermediate working knowledge of Oracle accounting and tax software or related technology is desirable.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of business operations to create requirements for development/process change.

Intermediate to advanced business analysis skills and process improvement skills.

Ability to work within standardized project management framework.

Intermediate to advanced time management, communications, decision-making, presentation, human relations, and organization skills.

Responsible for meeting timelines and objectives as specified by the project or tasks.

Gathers and documents functional, system, and data requirements within the FST documentation framework.

Partner with end users to create detailed process diagrams and business requirement documents using the FST documentation framework.

Partner with end users and IT to incorporate business requirements and business process knowledge to create detailed user stories, and test scenarios.

Responsible for creating and maintaining FAQ’s and work instruction documents using the FST documentation framework.

Actively partner with CFO teams for the training of business end users as it relates to systems and processes.

Ability to lead project meetings and guide groups to meet timelines and objectives.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Ability to communicate information and ideas both verbally and written so others will understand.

Ability to manage metadata and system taxonomies

Ability to manage and maintain complex financial reporting and metrics

Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.

Ability to provide FANATICAL support.

Previous Process Improvement experience desired.

Demonstrated ability to consistently provide FANATICAL support.
