PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Performs collection and documentation of requirements for business processes or subprocesses and customization requests to more fully leverage the Salesforce tool and suite of products.  Performs Salesforce configuration and administration. Researches and informs cross-functional teams of new feature technical design, requirements, limitations and implementation. Maintains general Salesforce.com data integrity. Provides technical support and assists users with Salesforce issues and needs.

 

 

  • KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY: Strong ability to understand business requests of end users and researches and documents requirements to assist in developing new or improved business processes. Strong knowledge of Salesforce tool and features, with understanding of general administration and configuration to maximize efficiency in using the tool. Customer centric mindset, with the ability to collaborate with teams of internal users on a daily basis. Strong understanding of sales and support business processes and experience leveraging products in Salesforce to maximize and improve those processes. Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce data management toolsets (Data Loader, DemandTools, etc.). Good communication (written and oral), problem-solving, and time management skills.  Strong Excel skills. Ability to handle the fast-pace and stress of a sales environment.
  • JOB COMPLEXITY: Serves as an internal advisor on proper usage of Salesforce.com, as well how Salesforce.com is utilized at Rackspace. Collaborates with team members and other various team leaders and end users in collecting and defining business requirements for optimal use of functionality of all Salesforce workflows. Configures workflow rules, validation rules and custom workflow and objects. Implements customization requests including creating workflow triggers, alerts and automated email responses. Collaborates with Salesforce development team for complex issues. Create and maintain technical documentation including updated system documentation, use and flow and Salesforce policies/procedures. Works in a team environment to establish and adhere to best practices processes.  Back-up to Salesforce Administrators general duties as needed.
  • SUPERVISION: General instruction on routine tasks, detailed instruction on new assignments.
  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years experience in systems support including a minimum of 2 years of Salesforce administration experience required. Certified Salesforce Advanced Administrator or Developer required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant and/or Certified Service Cloud Consultant preferred.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: General office environment. May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor. Moderate levels of stress may occur at times. No special physical demands required.
