Description

Rackspace are seeking a talented manager to lead, manage and coach a team of Business Development Consultants and Acquisition consultants with the main objective to bring on new logos and exceed business targets and personal goals.

This role is for the Northern Europe Sales team based in Amsterdam. The sales team has focus on both customers in the Benelux and customer in the Scandinavian countries. The current NE team is ~30 people large, active in sales and pre-sales roles, marketing and consultancy. The total sales team is 12FTE large. The Sales Manager will manage a team of 8 FTE.

This role will be managing both Install base and Acquisition reps with a strong focus on bringing in new logos through online platforms like Fin-tech/E Commerce/Online Gaming and ISV’s.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain a high energy, motivational and high-performance sales environment
  • Drive revenue through sales reps from Installed base customers and acquisition of new customers
  • Meet and/exceed monthly and quarterly sales revenue quota
  • Build and drive accurate ADP’s for all named accounts
  • Hire and train staff in accordance with the sales growth and headcount plan
  • Run regular account and deal reviews
  • Responsible for accurate sales forecasting and team KPI’s
  • Hiring, scaling revenue growth, interaction and engagement with other critical parts of the organisation.
  • Hold regular 1:1 with direct reports
  • Effectively manage staff performance issues
  • Need to establish effective communication channels with other teams and managers
  • Submit weekly progress reports & participate in quarterly kick-offs
  • Facilitate regular account targeting meetings as well as specific account Strategy calls in early stages of a sales cycle
  • Effective management of own time

PERSON SPECIFICATION:  

  • Extensive experience of proven direct sales experience at a mid-market level required
  • Proven sales management experienced preferred within the IT/ Technology arena (e.g. IT/ software services, web/ application/ platform hosting, managed services, datacentre, SAAS, Cloud computing, Co-location, ISP
  • BA business preferred but not required
  • Self-starter, highly aggressive and motivated to provide the highest possible level of responsiveness and performance from a team of people.
  • Outstanding sales, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Broad, relevant knowledge of technology
  • The ability to work effectively with people in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and drive results monthly.
  • A passion for customer service with contagious enthusiasm and energy.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective team member, along with the ability to apply logical thinking and a good reasoning ability.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English both verbal and written
