Product Marketing Manager - Managed Public Cloud

Rackspace is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to develop and drive the marketing plan for our Managed Public Cloud offerings, enabling us to grow our customer base and further increase the awareness of the brand.  This opportunity can be based out of either our global headquarters in San Antonio, TX or our Austin, TX office. 

The Product Marketing Manager will have the opportunity to shape and deliver how our offerings are presented to the market while collaborating with the Rackspace Application Services product marketing team to develop and deliver integrated messaging for the entire customer journey. With a portfolio of services including Salesforce multi-cloud solutions and digital marketing services, the Product Marketing Manager will be delivering value propositions into the market to solve genuine business problems.


  • Advocate and actively promote the inclusion and positioning of the Managed Public Cloud offerings into wider sales engagements across enterprise and mid-market segments.
  • Identify, address or create opportunities to increase the adoption of Managed Public Cloud services as a sales technique to gain customer trust.
  • Build and maintain a network of cross-functional resources within Rackspace and across any relative partnerships including AWS, Azure, and Google to allow for higher productivity, increased business, and rapid resolution of problems and escalations.
  • Manage multiple projects / work streams simultaneously and prioritize work accordingly.
  • Supports Product Management in the development of new services and offers including the creation of commercial, sales enablement and go-to-market collateral.
  • Responsible for planning, delivering, monitoring, and enhancing marketing programs in line with business objectives.
  • Translates company objectives and product offerings into go-to-market strategies as well as identified opportunities into actionable and measurable marketing programs.
  • Provides appropriate and actionable management information back to leadership regarding collateral development and campaign activities and outcomes.
  • Proactively identifies issues with existing offers and suggest fixes and improvements.
  • Sales Enablement and GTM leadership:
    • Owns the development and execution of the sales enablement plan for Rackspace Managed Public Cloud services (including new / acquisition sales, account and service delivery teams).
    • Ensures these plans are integrated with marketing demand generation teams, ensuring content is sales and customer ready with aligned messaging.
    • Takes an active role in internally and externally promoting the brand and value of Managed Public Cloud Services.


  • 7-10 years of Product Marketing experience
  • Strong knowledge of the Managed Public Cloud market
  • Strong knowledge of, and the ability to apply, the principles of market segmentation, brand management, marketing communications, and database marketing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive relationships with team members and evangelize services internally and externally.
  • Reasonable knowledge of digital marketing.
  • Reasonable knowledge of Project Management, IT Service Management and Service Delivery.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workloads to meet competing deadlines.
  • Reasonable understanding of common as-a-Service offerings with various service providers across various solution stacks (infrastructure, platform, software), and the value propositions associated with services to adopt and manage these services.
  • Ability to recognize salient business issues that “move the needle”, detects patterns, draw conclusions, and present conclusions to internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to summarize, interpret and present management information.
  • Product marketing, ideally in a managed or professional services context.
  • Have a deep knowledge of product marketing principles and go to market strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator.
  • A team player and true collaborator, you work closely with our marketing and sales teams throughout.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
