Rackspace is looking for a Partner Alliance Manager - Salesforce to join our team.  As a Partner Alliance Manager - Salesforce, you will be responsible for building relationships with partners, to focus on repeatable opportunities. The ideal candidate works with Rackspace’s Partner acquisition efforts to drive overall Partner engagement. In this role you will play a proactive role in driving business opportunities and developing Partner relationships.

In this role you will:

  • Work directly with Partner Readiness Team, Preferred Partner Group, and sales teams.
  • Manage the process of implementing and launching complex new partner marketing and promotional programs.
  • Keep partners engaged to achieve identified milestones.
  • Create and perform sales presentations to match company’s products/services with identified needs as needed or involves the appropriate Partner Account Manager.
  • Transition partners to the sales development phase of the partner’s life cycle as milestones are achieved.
  • Identify the appropriate Rackspace product set for the partner to represent that will complete the partners value proposition.
  • Serve as liaison to channel partners with regards to any sales related issues.
  • Identify multiple levels of contacts within a partner’s organization that Rackspace needs to partner with to have a mutually beneficial relationship.
  • Remain knowledgeable of company’s products/services to facilitate sales efforts.
  • Monitor partner incentives, campaign impact, effectiveness, and partner ecosystem penetration rates to formulate recommendations to improve results. 
  • Recommend ways of continually improving the process of running partner programs, including incentives, promotions, and/or enablement training.
  • Test new program initiatives to improve results. 
  • Maintain sales records and prepares sales reports as required.
  • Monitor the conversion of partner leads and opportunities, recommending action plans to address gaps. 
  • Manage third party eco-system relationships.

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business or sales management required.
  • 3 - 5 years of Salesforce Partner relationship management experience, including 1-2 years of sales or business development experience required.
  • Superior listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Rackspace product set.
  • Effective presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Rackspace products, target markets, and value propositions.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously prioritizing work to meet competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.
  • Must be well organized and attentive to details.
  • Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand.
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
  • Ability to provide FANATICAL support.
