Position Summary

RelationEdge is seeking multiple CPQ Solution Architect’s to join our Salesforce CPQ Practice in a client-facing role that combines functional and traditional consulting responsibilities. The CPQ Solution Architect will be involved in the post-sales, Analysis and Construct stage of RelationEdge’s services and solutions, and potentially act as the technical adviser in the pre-sales/discovery process.


The Salesforce CPQ Solution Architect will deliver the Salesforce solution definition and design for clients which will include the following key responsibilities:

  • Lead workshops to draw out requirements and create visual process flows and ensure proposed solutions are clearly articulated to the client and project team
  • Creation of detailed Analysis phase deliverables including ‘Business Requirements Document’ (BRD) and ‘Business Solution Document’ (BSD) based on customer requirements
  • Collaborate with a team of Salesforce CPQ Architects, Developers, and Engineers to determine the most appropriate functional strategy and designs to meet business needs
  • Provide current best practice and 3rd Party solution alternatives as part of the Business Requirements Document and Business Solution Document
  • Act as a team lead and assist the delivery team in building out declarative CPQ functionality within Salesforce
  • Participate in business process due diligence, creation, and documentation of end-user requirements of new and/or existing customer application implementation projects
  • Share best practices and be consultative to clients throughout duration of the project- act as a trusted partner
  • Participate in pre-sales activities and support proposal development (statement of work)
  • Participate and lead, when needed, project meetings with the customer
  • Act as an escalation point for risks and issues to the project team and client management
  • Act as the bridge between the technical and functional team to drive successful CPQ implementations.
  • Guide and provide mentorship to the CPQ Practice team
  • Willing and able to travel domestically approximately 10% of the time for project needs                                                                                                                                                                


  • A minimum of four full lifecycle Salesforce CPQ implementations   
  • A passion for Salesforce CPQ, a creative mindset to ensure clients achieve success through Salesforce CPQ
  • Strong grasp of Salesforce CPQ essentials e.g. Price Rules, Product Rules, Quote Templates, Lookup tables (with Price and Product Rules)
  • A strong understanding of the CPQ Calculation Service, the CPQ pricing waterfall, implications and ramifications of price injections, how they interact with the calculation service and limitations of CPQ (and knowledge of alternative solutions)
  • Implementation experience of applications that support CPQ, for example and not limited to, ‘DocuSign for Salesforce CPQ’, ‘AdobeSign for Salesforce CPQ’, ‘Conga Contracts’, ‘Prodly Moover’, ‘AvaTax’, ‘SpringCM’ etc.
  • Strong requirements and design skills
  • 5 plus years of experience in a consulting environment
  • Minimum of Salesforce.com Administrator and Sales Cloud certifications. Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist strongly preferred
  • Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into a scalable solution design
  • Advanced experience with Salesforce.com configuration
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously; workload will be a blend of small, medium, and large implementation projects
  • Candidate must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
