PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:  Develops internal systems integration requirements for future product releases. Ensures all requirements for new products are documented and understood. Designs and documents interfaces for one or more impacted processes and systems in order to satisfy stakeholder requirements. Assists Product Operations Engineers in aspects of service readiness. Manages the success of assigned products and develops internal systems integration requirements for future product releases. Works independently with extended teams in Sales, Support, Operations, Billing, Business Intelligence, Legal, and Corporate Security to ensure all requirements for new products are documented and understood. Designs and documents interfaces for impacted processes and systems in order to satisfy stakeholder requirements. Ensures service readiness prior to product launch. 

 

  • KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY: Working knowledge of two of the following domains: IT industry, hosting/cloud computing sector, product domain, and/or internal Rackspace systems and processes.  Basic understanding of business as it relates to the hosting industry. Familiarity with product development life cycle. Strong knowledge of the following domains: IT industry, hosting/cloud computing sector, product domain, and Internal Rackspace systems and processes. Good understanding of business as it relates to the hosting industry. Working knowledge of product development life cycle (relevant experience in 1 or more phases).
  • JOB COMPLEXITY: Delivers tactical results on a variety of project tasks. Executes defined projects as per product strategy. Strategic - medium level contributor to overall strategy. Tactical - medium contribution. Executes multiple projects and develops operational strategies.
  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:  High school diploma or equivalent required. Typically a minimum of 3-5 years related experience (technology and/or operations). BS in Technology or Business preferred. MBA preferred. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
