The HR Analytics Specialist will provide routine and recurring reporting for Rackspace’s Human Resources Division as well as serve as the first line of data integrity management.  This position reports to the Senior Dapifer and works closely with global HR Analytics Specialists as well as product managers for HRIS systems.  Customers include HR team members as well as other “enquiring Rackspace minds” outside of HR.


  • KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY: 
    • Basic metrics and reporting experience. 
    • Basic knowledge of reporting technology trends. 
    • Demonstrated leadership in successfully delivering on global projects. 
    • Basic verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills with high level of proficiency. 
    • Ability to communicate moderately complex statistical concepts and output to non-experts in both a written and verbal manner.
  • JOB COMPLEXITY: 
    • Provides routine and recurring reporting for Rackspace’s Human Resources (HR) Division as well as serve as the first line of data integrity management. 
    • Assignments are received in the form of specific tasks and procedures or guidelines to follow are provided. 
    • Delivers requested data for multiple concurrent projects.
    • Collects, pre-processes, and organizes data.  Maintains and standardizes data sources.  Constructs visualizations for data presentation. 
    • Interacts with individual contributor level stakeholders. 
    • Provides inputs to documentation as needed. 
    • Rework is minimized due to effective communication of requirements with customer(s) before work is begun. 
    • Works to transform data into business value by discovering, interpreting, and communicating data trends. 
    • Collects and pre-processes data for analysis. 
    • Presents results in a readily consumable manner for audiences. 
    • Conducts routine tasks as directed. 
    • Gathers data from a variety of sources. 
    • Presents and communicates results using pre-defined templates or predetermined layouts. 
  • SUPERVISION: 
    • Operates under general supervision with clearly defined guidelines.
  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: 
    • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics or related field required. 
    • Experience of 0-3 years of data analysis required. 
    • Basic metrics and reporting experience. 
    • Demonstrated leadership in successfully delivering on global projects. 
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically: Excel, Access, PowerPoint. 
    • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Qlikview a plus.
    • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server a plus. 
    • Experience with reporting in Workday, iCIMS, and/or Cornerstone a plus. 
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
    • General office environment. 
    • May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor. 
    • Moderate levels of stress may occur at times. 
    • No special physical demands required.
    • Occasional domestic travel, less than 10%.
