  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:  Develops and maintains the business intelligence framework.
  • KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY: Basic competence with database structures and design as well as possessing some SQL development skills including, temp tables, nested selects, and linked servers. Basic knowledge of relational and columnar database platforms such as MSSQL, My SQL, Oracle, Postgresql and Cassandra. Intermediate QV skills including the ability to connect to data, build objects, and publish dashboards and QlickView Forums.  Business analysis skills to allow for the creation of report definitions and specifications.  Development skills in JAVA or .NET are helpful. Ability to clearly communicate technical information and ideas so that others will understand. Must be able to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions. Must successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups. Must have the ability to provide FANATICAL support. Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.  Ability to develop work plans and follow through on assignments with minimal guidance. Ability to work with business and system owners to obtain requirements and manage expectations.
  • JOB COMPLEXITY: Works with business requirement team, analysts and developers to ensure stakeholder requirements are addressed through integration solutions in a manner that aligns with timelines, budgets and quality expectations. Leads the design and development of the Business Intelligence (BI) architecture and continually refines the BI strategy to align with corporate direction. Serves as the subject matter expert in extraction of information from EFD, Star and Snowflake schemas.  Builds operational and ad-hoc reports. Builds reports that take advantage of OLAP/Dimensional Modeling capabilities. Builds executive dashboards and corporate scorecards. Works with customers to define their requirements and create information delivery solutions that meet their needs utilizing “best practices.” Develops and implements data integration strategy and associated policies as it pertains to lean integration practices. Participates in design and development reviews. Works with system owners to resolve data transformation issues and to refine transformation.
  • SUPERVISION:  Detailed instruction and/ or close supervision.
  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Business Administration plus a minimum of 1 year of practical experience in SQL Development. Post-graduate education or training desirable. Strong skills in Excel and T-SQL recommended. Experience in Qlikview and Qliksense.  High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: General office environment. Moderate levels of stress may occur at times.  May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor.  No special physical demands required. Schedule flexibility to include working a weekend day regularly and holidays as required by the business for 24/7 operations.  Occasional travel, less than 10%.
  • POLICY COMPLIANCE: Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedures and any other relevant policies and standards as directed.
