As Castle's Facility Manager you will supervise the activities of the facilities/maintenance staff. Keep management informed of schedules, priorities, and problems. Technical and comprehensive knowledge of operating procedures of all office equipment and facilities. Excellent knowledge of government regulations regarding facilities. Excellent planning, management, budgeting and organization skills. PCs, various maintenance, testing and repair equipment. Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand. Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions. Ability to apply varying leadership skills and traits that create solutions and results to unexpected situations. Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.

Ensures the day to day management of each facility through facilities staff. Plans, organizes and evaluates operations of company facilities and equipment. Estimates material and labor costs for repairs, replacements, and improvements. Responsible for management of fire drills and fire-code compliance. Manages equipment inventory and equipment database. Responsible for approving all orders for all equipment, software, furniture, repairs and maintenance, etc. Ensures that each employee has the appropriate office space, furniture and equipment. Works with outside contractors and vendors of equipment and supplies. Coordinates with contractors on carpet repairs/replacements, painting, electrical or plumbing work, etc. Identifies contractors and vendors of materials, equipment and supplies. Evaluates cost and quality of services, goods, and supplies. Manages the negotiation and maintenance of contractor and vendor agreements and contracts that define quality, delivery schedules, pricing, and other terms and conditions. Manages activities related to reconstruction of office space and movement of people: Coordinates with management, contractors and movers during all phases of the move. Draws initial floor plans for new office space. Supervises and provides specifications for various construction projects. Manages personnel activities of facilities/maintenance staff (i.e. hires, trains, appraises, rewards, motivates, disciplines, recommends termination as necessary, etc.).

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. College or trade school degree required. Typically requires seven to 10 years of experience in general maintenance and facilities management, with at least one year of leadership experience.

General office environment. May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor. Moderate levels of stress may occur at times. No special physical demands required.
