Rackspace Singapore is seeking an experienced and tenacious Inside Sales Representative based in our busy down town office. The Inside Sales Representative provides direct support to the Field Sales Executive’s in the ongoing development of prospective Rackspace customers to ensure that the  sales teams are able to meet the growth targets.  You will reach business targets largely through excellent telephone, social selling and other selling channels requiring sales and communication skills. Working with Marketing and aligned Field Sales Executives, you will leverage contacts from industry events and marketing campaigns, as well as develop your own demand generation through the creation of sales leads, to initiate prospect calls, and develop rapport with potential buyers across your aligned segment. You may also be required for selling across the Rackspace portfolio of services into the ANZ regions prospects.  




Key Accountabilities  


  • Call on prospective buyer contacts inside both existing & prospect or targeted accounts as a source of  lead generation.  
  • Cross sell into all targeted accounts and generate leads / opportunities in region.  
  • Identify decision makers within targeted accounts to begin effective prospecting campaigns.  
  • Collaborate with field sales representative and sales leaders to develop necessary sales strategy including but not limited to defining, maintaining and running a territory plan  
  • Create, develop and deliver qualified cross sell opportunities to field sales representatives in region
  • Maintain CRM  
  • Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, and other events.  
  • Make outbound calls to existing customers via telephone and email in an effort to cross-sell and up-sell.  
  • Set up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, and other sales activities.  
  • Handle inbound, reactive customer calls and convert them into opportunities.  
  • Overcome objections.  
  • Describe product/service features and benefits and how they relate to the business need / problem.  
  • Prepare contracts, statements of work and proposals as required
  • Regularly update monthly forecast and respective activities associated to current and future pipeline.  
  • Maintain and expand Rackspace database of prospects.  
  • Attend periodic sales training and enablement where applicable.
  • Assist field sales representatives in identifying and coordinating required resources when the Strategic Deal Center is not able to support.  
  • Performs other job related revenue-generating duties as necessary or assigned by direct manager.  
  • Key Performance Indicators (against each key accountability)

  • Financial  Base Salary + Commission  
  • Liaise with clients as necessary for upgrades, and  prospecting  
  • Keep customer’s updated with build progress and  respond to inquiries when the BDC is out of the office  or unavailable.  
  • Respond to support requests when needed.  
  • Able to build strong relationships with other business  functions to ensure they deliver the highest levels of  support.
  • Able to escalate issues and promote change  in business processes to improve quality / efficiency.  
  • Other departments  





  • Bachelor’s degree is nice to have but not necessary where the appropriate sales skills and  experience are present
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct work experience in a sales or tele sales capacity is preferable.  
  • Experience with technology and/or B2B services sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and leads into opportunities.
  • Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development,  and time management.
  • Awareness of marketing lead development and outbound calling techniques and strategies
  • Previous success qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers.
  • Prefer previous experience developing business relationships within the ASX 300.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity and experience with managing a lead and opportunity pipeline within Saleforce.
