Want to help reinvent service delivery in the cloud?  Interested in how technology and service can be combined to deliver amazing customer outcomes?  We are looking for a Product Manager to own and lead our tooling and technology products in our Managed Public Clouds business.

Rackspace has built a world-class culture of Fanatical Support and Customer obsession - and we are now defining and leading a new category called Managed Cloud. As Rackspace's fastest growing business, Managed Public Clouds (MPC) is at the forefront of that pioneering effort. MPC seeks to combine 1) Rackspace world-class service and commitment to Customer outcomes, with 2) Rackspace software engineering excellence honed over years of building and operating web scale public cloud infrastructure, with 3) the world's leading public cloud platforms - AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Technology and software development are essential parts of the equation, and this role will own shaping the MPC technology portfolio with Rackspace's world-class service. We build our own tools, integrate others, and make extensive use of AWS, Azure, and GCP services in the process.   • Take ownership of a set of MPC tooling, technology, and service products
  • Develop a deep understanding of how our customers operate on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP to discover new value and management products Rackspace can provide
  • Develop a deep understanding of how our support Rackers serve customers and discover
  • Discover opportunities for new innovative technology and tooling to solve FAWS customer problems and scale agile application management
  • Embed yourself with Support leadership, Support Rackers, Sales Rackers, AWS Solution Architects, and other Fanatical Support for AWS teams to understand how they work, the customer's support experience, and how we can improve it
  • You're customer facing with on-going conversations to build deep relationships with customers, prospects, and cutting edge technology companies
  • Own the development of the next generation Fanatical Support thesis, product plan, roll-out details, beta-testing, launch activities, and on-going evolution of Fanatical Support
  • Actively support any Go to Market and ongoing marketing activities in partnership with marketing, sales teams, and other Rackspace departments

  • A passion for customers, inspiring products, and great service!
  • Deep exposure to cloud-native applications and DevOps methodologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of tools typically used by teams employing DevOps methodologies to build cloud-native applications
  • Ability to influence others to persuade them about your point of view - you should be convincing without being commanding with patience and determination to get things done
  • An understanding how a service organization can provide value above base level offerings
  • Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills, including data analysis
  • Ability to have meaningful conversations and debates with CEOs, CTOs, and COOs of any size organization, including Rackspace

  • 3 years of meaningful, demonstrable experience with cloud-native tools and/or human-led services
  • Worked in a capacity serving customers with direct service delivery experience
  • Experience as a Product Manager managing enterprise/business-to-business products preferred
  • AWS Certifications or demonstrated ability to obtain them in first 60 days in position
  • Background working with IaaS, SaaS, and/or cloud-based software specifically - Managed Hosting or customer obsessed organization
  • Proven track record of exceeding objectives, getting immediate results while building repeatable processes and a respected reputation
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field required
