Position Summary

RelationEdge is seeking a Vice President of Architecture to join our team. The Vice President of Architecture is the technical representative during the presales process and is responsible for working with the sales team as the primary technical advisor to drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. Vice President of Architecture candidates should have deep experience with solutions and the scoping/estimation process and will be expected to bring technical expertise to the sales process.


The Vice President of Architecture responsibilities will include, but isn’t limited to the following:

  • Responsible for driving deeper level technical requirements during the sales process in order to scope and estimate the project
  • Responsible for performing necessary research of third-party technologies, tools, and applications that are introduced during the pre-sales process
  • Defining project scope, designing the initial high-level solution architecture, and estimating the level of effort
  • Assisting in writing Proposals, Statements of Work, RFPs
  • Collaborating with the RelationEdge Business Development team and technical organizations, and Salesforce Account Executives organization to maximize growth opportunities
  • Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations when necessary
  • Achieve and maintain relevant certifications and needed credentials
  • Represent the company with the highest standards and preparation at assigned events or other forums
  • Serve as a positive, dynamic leader that displays the best work ethic, creative problem-solving skills, positive attitude, and team-oriented proactive approach
  • Participate in planning and management meetings, projects or events as requested
  • Responsible for 45 hours of billable client time per month                   

Required Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in Cloud technologies and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Candidate must be organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches, and able to handle multiple projects. Additional qualifications are:

  • 7+ years of experience with technical implementations of customer projects
  • Advanced experience with configuration and custom development
  • Experience defining project scope, designing the initial high-level solution architecture, and estimating the level of effort
  • Experience and ability to be client-facing as this person will interact with customers at all levels
  • Experience with enterprise integration tools and extract, transformation and load (ETL) tools
  • Application development experience with Javascript, XML, HTTP, Java, C++, ASP, SQL preferred
  • Experience with other CRM or ERP tools are a plus
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to travel, range varies from 20% and 60% for the VP of Architecture
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously; workload will be a blend of small, medium, and large implementation projects
  • Must maintain professional knowledge of and relationships within the ecosystem
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage your time, and make judgments that are in the best interest of the client and RelationEdge
  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management or equivalent field
  • Must be able to perform the basic functions of the job
  • Candidate must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
