Description

The Senior Accounting Manager will play a key role in the Finance organization around change management, process improvement, scaling accounting infrastructures and operations, and building and developing the team of professionals. This position will report into the Assistant Corporate Controller

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Directs and oversees certain accounting operations, including, but not limited to, all general ledger responsibilities, disbursements and accounts payables, fixed assets, and other functions
  • Manage the monthly/quarterly close process and review/prepare the monthly flux analysis for balance sheet and income statement ensuring that all results are properly posted and fully analyzed in a timely manner and reported to executive management per defined timelines
  • Lead the monthly and quarterly close process including financial statement reviews with international locations
  • Lead the general ledger accounting and consolidation processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, closing, statements, analysis and schedules. Oversee intra-company and inter-company accounting and consolidation.
  • Ownership and management of policies and processes for areas impacting financial reporting and related processes
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of quarterly and annual audits with our external auditors
  • Develop and maintain working relationships across Finance, FP&A, Legal, Operation and other organizations
  • Assist with M&A GL integration processes

Qualifications and Experience

  • A mix of industry and public accounting experience is desired
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience with taking on progressively higher responsibilities. Experience as a people manager is required
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
  • Proficient at use of MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software (NetSuite) with working knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability with a drive for continuously improvement
  • Experience with NetSuite required
  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field is preferred
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is desired
