Quotient Technology Inc. was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in Mountain View, California.

Director of Tax and Treasury is responsible for the Company’s global management of tax and treasury functions. The position reports to Quotient’s VP Finance and Chief Accounting Officer. The individual should be both a “thinker” as well as a “doer” and be able to manage competing priorities for these functions by thinking strategically as well as running day-to-day operations. Responsible for global taxes, the individual will ensure best practices in tax planning and compliance and managing treasury function, the individual will ensure and manage the liquidity and investment of global cash and investments. The individual must have a strong knowledge of tax and treasury accounting and exceptional communication skills to work with people across the organization.


Tax Responsibilities include:


  • In charge of all tax matters for the company, and staying current on new tax developments and assess the potential impact on the Company
  • Manage quarterly and year-end income tax provisions in accordance with US GAAP  
  • Manage compliance with international, national and local tax rules and regulations including transfer pricing strategy, R&D/Cost-sharing and other inter-company arrangements
  • Prepare/Manage routine tax filings (sales/use tax, VAT, property taxes, etc.)
  • Coordinate and manage the outside tax consultants
  • Own the controls SOX framework and ensure processes and procedures comply with framework
  • Responsible for the tax footnotes in the quarterly and annual filings


Treasury Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for global corporate cash management, including monitoring of domestic and international banks used for day-to-day corporate purposes
  • Ownership and compliance with the Global Treasury investment policy and monitors cash, money market and other short-term investments.
  • Prepare cash forecasts by analyzing the cash inflows and outflows and review the cash needs for international subsidiaries
  • Ownership of SOX controls and compliance by benchmarking with best practices in the area of treasury management
  • Responsible for managing the cash and investments footnotes in the quarterly and annual filings
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Hands-on, detail oriented and ability to perform critical self-review. Understands the importance of planning in advance to meet deadlines that include multiple review points and iterations
  • Self-starter with ability to solve problems with minimal direction and focus on quality of deliverables
  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills with strong time and project management skills
  • Strong communicator, both written & verbal, capable of translating complex concepts into plain English and assess impact on business; reliable and responsive to email and phone communications


  • 10+ Years of relevant domestic tax experience with a good understanding of international tax structures and issues
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA certification; Combination of Industry and Big 4 CPA firm (or regional equivalent) experience required
  • Experience working for a rapidly growing global company with experience in managing international tax preferred
  • Prior Treasury experience preferred
