About the role

Quantum Health is seeking a highly collaborative communications leader who is both strategic and hands-on. The Director will lead key communications programs and initiatives directly while also providing guidance and direction to communications team members responsible for brand, PR internal communications and social media execution. The role requires strong leadership, adaptability and the ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.

The Director of Communications will lead the development and execution of integrated communications strategies that strengthen Quantum Health’s reputation, amplify its brand narrative and engage employees across the enterprise. Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, this role is responsible for advancing both internal and external communications initiatives that support business priorities and elevate Quantum Health’s voice and presence in the market.

This role partners closely with senior leaders across the organization—including Human Resources, Operations, IT, Warrior Services, Marketing and sales, to develop communications strategies that inform, inspire and engage a diverse employee population of more than 2,300 team members while also expanding the company’s visibility with external audiences.
Location: This position is located at our Dublin, OH campus with hybrid flexibility. This position may work remotely anywhere in the United States of America.

What you’ll do (Essential Responsibilities)

Enterprise Communications Strategy & Execution

Lead the development and execution of integrated communications strategies across internal and external audiences that align with business priorities and brand positioning

Partner with the Vice President of Communications to shape communications priorities, messaging frameworks and program strategies

Develop compelling messaging and storytelling that communicates Quantum Health’s mission, culture and value proposition partnering closely with the content strategy team

Execute high-impact communications initiatives and campaigns that support business goals, brand awareness and employee engagement

Ensure consistent voice, tone and messaging across internal and external communications channels

Executive Communications & Employer Brand

Lead the planning and execution of company-wide Town Halls (Quarterly Quest), ensuring a high-quality and engaging experience that connects employees to company strategy and leadership priorities

Manage the end-to-end development of Town Hall programming including agenda development, executive alignment, messaging, content strategy and production coordination

Partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership to develop messaging, storytelling and presentation delivery

Provide guidance and preparation for executive speakers through messaging development, briefing materials and rehearsal coordination

Serve as communications lead for Town Hall execution across both in-person and virtual environments

Partner closely with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to strengthen and promote Quantum Health’s employer brand across internal and external channels

Help shape and amplify communications that support employee engagement, culture storytelling and recruitment initiatives that position Quantum Health as an employer of choice

Provide communications guidance and messaging support related to employee reviews and employer reputation platforms (e.g., Glassdoor, Indeed) 

Oversee the development of employer brand content—including employee stories, culture highlights and leadership messaging—that strengthens recruitment marketing and retention efforts.

Internal & Operational Communications

Develop and execute internal communication strategies and programs that engage, inspire, and align employees with Quantum Health’s brand, vision, priorities, and key initiatives

Distill complex subjects into clear, easy-to-understand language that resonates across teams and levels

Manage internal communication channels including the intranet, QBoards (digital signage), weekly newsletter and company meetings, ensuring content is timely and relevant

Create and maintain a communications calendar to coordinate messaging, avoid overload, and ensure strategic alignment 

Partner closely with Human Resources and other business functions to support employee engagement, culture initiatives and leadership communications

Serve as a strategic partner on change initiatives, developing communications that help employees understand the "why" behind organizational changes

Partner with pod operations communications team to ensure consistency in tone and message within operations 

Plan year-end party for all team members in collaboration with HR

External Communications/PR & Brand Reputation

Contribute to the development and execution of external communications and PR strategies that elevate Quantum Health’s brand narrative and industry leadership

Partner with marketing and brand teams to support integrated communications campaigns that strengthen brand awareness and thought leadership

Support media relations and storytelling efforts that position Quantum Health as a leader in healthcare navigation

Ensure alignment between external communications initiatives and internal messaging priorities

Oversee PR agency to ensure Quantum Health is getting maximum exposure

Crisis & Issues Communications

Support the development and execution of crisis and issues communications strategies

Partner with the Vice President of Communications and leadership team to manage messaging during sensitive or high-impact situations

Help maintain crisis communications protocols and messaging frameworks to support rapid and effective response

Provide communications guidance to internal teams to ensure consistent and accurate messaging during emerging issues

Team Leadership

Lead and mentor a communications team, including direct management of employer brand/internal communications, external communications/pr and social media.   

Foster collaboration across all of marketing and other teams to ensure story and message are consistent and effective 

All other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring (Qualifications)

Experience: 8-12 years of experience in corporate communications, including both internal and external communications

Demonstrated experience executing integrated communications strategies across multiple channels

Strong writing, messaging and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex topics into clear communications

Experience advising senior leaders and supporting executive communications and maintaining confidentiality when needed

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across cross-functional teams.

Experience with intranet employee experience platforms, project management tools (such as click up), and Microsoft office suite / sharepoint.
