We are seeking an AI Software Engineer I to join our team in developing cutting-edge solutions that revolutionize healthcare systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that enhance patient care while working with a dynamic team of experts.

As an AI Software Engineer I, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge AI solutions, optimizing Large Language Models, and building secure, cloud-native applications that power the future of healthcare. You’ll collaborate with a talented team of engineers and product managers, leveraging technologies like Python, Java, Node.js, and React to create impactful solutions. What you’ll do  

  • AI Model Development & Optimization
    • Assist in integrating and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) and machine learning algorithms under the guidance of senior engineers.
    • Support basic data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation tasks.
    • Work with existing AI models to implement incremental improvements and troubleshoot issues.
  • Full-Stack Development
    • Develop and maintain backend services using Python, Java, or Node.js with mentorship from senior team members.
    • Contribute to front-end development in React by implementing UI components and improving user experiences.
    • Assist in building and consuming APIs to support the AI applications
    • Write clean, maintainable, testable code following industry best practices.
  • Cloud-Native Application Development
    • Learn and assist in deploying applications to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure with a focus on automation and scalability.
    • Support efforts to monitor and maintain cloud-based applications using basic tools and services.
    • Assist in setting up development environments and configurations for cloud applications.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Work closely with peers and mentors to understand project requirements and contribute effectively.
    • Participate in team meetings, sharing progress and asking for feedback.
    • Write clear documentation for the code you develop to support knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Security & Compliance
    • Follow security best practices when handling sensitive data, learning about compliance standards
    • Assist in implementing basic security measures, such as API authentication and data encryption/anonymization.
    • Stay aware of data protection guidelines and apply them in day-to-day tasks.
  • Continuous Learning & Improvement
    • Be proactive in learning new AI/ML and software development concepts through mentorship and hands-on projects.
    • Stay updated with relevant industry trends and share insights with the team.
    • Take part in training sessions, hackathons, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to expand your skill set.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What you’ll bring

·           0-3 years of software development experience, including a combination of work experience, education, or projects.

·           Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts, such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and foundational machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

·           Familiarity with programming languages, including Python, Java, or Node.js, and front-end frameworks like React, with some hands-on experience in building and maintaining applications.

·           Basic knowledge of APIs, including building, consuming, and testing RESTful APIs to support application functionality.

·           Foundational cloud knowledge, with an eagerness to learn platforms like AWS or Azure and assist in deploying cloud-native applications.

·           Awareness of security best practices, such as implementing API authentication, data encryption, and compliance with data protection guidelines.

·           Experience with full-stack development or healthcare applications is preferred but not required.

·           Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward learning and adopting new technologies.

·           Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work closely with peers, senior engineers, and cross-functional teams in a supportive environment.

·           Eagerness to document code and contribute to team knowledge-sharing initiatives through clear communication and participation in training or hackathons.

·           Protect and take care of our company and member’s data every day by committing to work within our company ethics and policies

·           Strong administrative/technical skills; Comfort working on a PC using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IM/video conferencing (Teams & Zoom), and telephones efficiently.
