Senior Social Media Manager

We’re looking for a passionate, hands-on senior social media manager to join the Qualys Communications team. You’re a creative thinker with a flair for writing engaging copy who can leverage these skills to protect and enhance Qualys’ reputation using social media channels. You’ll own social media content and strategy, using your experience and knowledge to grow Qualys’ brand and social media presence.

Role Responsibilities

  • Execute a results-driven social media strategy focusing on growing our following and increasing engagement.
  • Oversee strategy and lead creative ideation to deliver innovative, best-in-class social media that engages followers. Leverage external resources to scale social media activity.
  • Produce live social media content in response to events and webinars, which leverages your creativity and incorporates graphics, photo and video content.
  • Work with the Qualys creative team to develop engaging images and content and maintain a unified brand voice across our social media channels.
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance for social media best practices and KPIs across the organization.
  • Support marketing campaigns leveraging social channels to distribute and promote campaign content that helps drive pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the Qualys Marketing and Comms team to create a social media calendar that engages our audience and supports marketing initiatives.
  • Actively engage in the monitoring and administration of social media platforms, including development of listening, reporting and engagement activities. Analyze key performance indicators to provide communications insights, informing the team of trends and best practices.
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
  • Own the Qualys Social Media Advocacy Program. Kick off and manage Bambu, our employee engagement platform, including training employees on this new to Qualys tool.



  • 7+ years of deep social media experience with a technology company, preferably in cybersecurity.
  • Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools (Sprout Social, Bambu).
  • Engaging writer with copy-editing skills including AP writing style and an eye for accurate grammar and spelling.
  • Understand and leverage social media metrics and trends to increase the effectiveness of our social media campaigns.

  • Detail-oriented approach with ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with social platforms (ex. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
