Technical Product Manager: Common Services

The Technical Product Manager will identify and document customer requirements, and work with the  development teams to define customer required functions and product enhancements, to ensure customer success through Qualys platform. In addition, the candidate will be the Qualys Cloud Apps subject matter expert on best industry practices and a bridge between customers/technical support and the PM/engineering team.

The candidate should be able to evangelize on Qualys Continuous Security platform including writing white-papers on competitive advantages, performing webinars, helping with the product roadmap, updating field teams, and conducting internal sales training as well as customer support training on key uses of the solutions. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • The candidate in this role should acquire in depth understanding of each Qualys Cloud App functions and operationalization use cases.
  • This role will own platform level capabilities such as Audit logs, RBAC, compliance to ensure Qualys Cloud Platform is the de-facto choice of our customers.
  • The candidate will have his/her expertise in existing backend services, interactions, modular dependencies and will help PM teams to design/architect or accommodate new features/services within the platform
  • Successful candidate will serve as an internal and external subject matter expert in Security research and operations area contributing to our understanding of customer challenges and communicating the value proposition of the Qualys Cloud platform and 3rd party integrations in alignment with specific customer needs.
  • Work closely with the field sales (TAMs) and customers to make the customer accounts successful by providing technical expertise of the Security Engineering, Operations and proposing/architecting integrations/solutions for customer requirements based on the Qualys Cloud apps capabilities.
  • Work with Product PMs and Engineering to deliver customer use cases
  • Keep interacting with the industry peers to understand new trends in Security domains, changing/evolving SecOps requirements and identifying potential solutions for partnering for the integrations with Qualys Cloud platforms.
  • Conduct research on the 3rd party tools/solutions, identify the integration and design the integrations considering Qualys Cloud Apps capabilities.

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years Industry experience with 5+ years of progressive experience in the Security engineering domain and Security Operations
  • Sound knowledge on Security Operations processes and procedures
  • Hands-on on designing and implementing security solutions, automations in SecDevOps environments
  • Proven experience evaluating or driving Security solutions deployments within SecOps, SecDevOps environments
  • Solid Understanding of Security domains, security tooling supporting domain requirements and operational use cases
  • Experience of working with DevOps tools and pipelines to implement security solutions/automations
  • Experienced in customer and external communications
  • Demonstrated experience in the identification, analysis of customer issues and helping the customer support team resolve the issues
  • Ongoing/proactive working with the PM /TAM/sales team to engage with the existing customers to understand their SecOps use-cases, paths.
  • Expertise in regulatory requirements of PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO, NIST regarding FIM, PC, and Technical configuration management requirements
  • Maintain a detailed project plan that accurately reflects the status of each assigned project.
    Continually communicate the status of each customer engagement project and provide regular status updates to the management.
  • Promote clarity and alignment with the overall product strategy while maintaining focus on customer satisfaction both internally and externally.
