Description

The Investor Relations Manager is responsible for supporting the company’s Investor Relations activities including creating and presenting a clear and confident message to the investment community on behalf of Qualys. This role will report to the VP, Investor Relations and Corporate Development and work closely with FP&A, Accounting, Sales, Marketing and Legal teams.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the security market, Qualys’ strategy and landscape of security vendors
  • Maintain existing IR presentation materials and develop new materials as needed
  • Track and maintain a record of sell-side analysts’ coverage including estimates, ratings, reports, and other relevant data
  • Assist in producing reports and presentations on the company’s shareholders for senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Prepare key investment messages and presentations to communicate financial performance business conditions, and company strategy to sell-side analysts and institutional investors
  • Summarize complex data into a presentation format that is appropriate for all audiances
  • Attend investor conferences and accompany management on roadshows, and virtual events with institutional investors and sell side analysts
  • Collaborate with representatives from FP&A, Accounting, Legal, Sales and Marketing to gather information related to quarterly financial performance and ensure alignment and accuracy of figures and narrative presented in quarterly IR materials
  • Ensure accuracy of earnings call transcript
  • Summarize key themes based on analysis of analyst notes and peer performance/disclosures
  • Support the quarterly earnings process – preparation of materials including earnings conference call scripts, press releases, investor presentation, Q&A documents, and other associated materials for sell-side and buy-side post-earnings calls
  • Maintain competitive analyses, including the development of industry and peer company performance benchmarks. Continuously measure and update this information and use it to provide a relative performance framework for the investment community
  • Support development of presentation materials and FAQs specific to ESG investors and proxy analysts
  • Stay on top of M&A trends within the cybersecurity sector, clearly communicate key trends, valuation metrics and observations
  • Proactively recommend new strategies, programs and tools to enhance the Investor Relations function

  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized with prior experience having gathered, structured, monitored, and validated data to ensure data integrity and detailed documentation; has developed a habit of checking the accuracy of data and analysis several times over before submitting for review
  • Significant expertise and love of auditable financial modeling and setting up automated processes to increase the effectiveness of the team and minimize room for error
  • Excellent multi-tasker who is always “on it” with stellar time and project management skills; understands the importance of planning in advance to meet deadlines that include multiple review points and iterations
  • Strong communicator, both written & verbal; reliable and responsive to email and phone communications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry with prior investor relations experience
  • Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive, confidential information

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of combined experience in corporate development, investor relations at global SaaS companies or in investment banking
  • Systems expertise: Working knowledge of NASDAQ IR Insight, Salesforce, Anaplan, and MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
