The Corporate Engineering Team at Qualys is focused on driving technology results for all departments within the organization (Sales, Professional Services, Support, Product) through strategy development, execution excellence, and performance management. 

As a Project Manager in the Corporate Engineering PMO Team, you will lead cross-functional teams and are responsible for ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery of multiple concurrent projects. Our Project managers are outcome driven, leading diverse initiatives with a large degree of autonomy and visibility across the team and company. 

The candidate has exemplified dedicated and relentless project leadership and execution. Independently capable of seeking information, critically thinking through situations, and having an attitude to solve problems by bringing people together resources and delivering results in challenging situations. You are known as someone who “gets stuff done.” 

 This is an incredible opportunity to help transform the Corporate Engineering PMO with high visibility amongst senior leadership. This position reports to the Sr. Director, PMO who reports to our CIO.  

  

Responsibilities 

  

  • Take a strategic view of programs – understand the business levers, people networks, and operational requirements to drive outcomes (not just output).  
  • Develop project justification proposals, business cases and return on investment estimates; obtain executive approval and funding. 
  • Drive and manage Programs and Projects with all aspects of Corporate Engineering (Business Applications, IT Operations, Information Security) and cross-functional (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Legal, etc.)  
  • Demonstrate the ability to direct programs at the strategic level and possess the willingness to dig into the highly tactical program details.  
  • Develop and maintain key project governance documentation to ensure the proper amount of structure is applied to enable project success. 
  • Must be a self-starter who can keep the team motivated and focused.  
  • Influence a team and individuals to drive to conclusions in a heavily matrixed environment  
  • Track and communicate key programs project status / dependencies.  
  • Understand the 80/20 rule and move quickly while making decisions that can help the organization scale 
  • Communicate effectively across project and management teams 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance in Economics, Finance, Engineering or an equivalent field of study; MBA a plus but not required 
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a project or product manager with experience leading large and complex cross-functional projects 
  • Tolerant of ambiguity and the flexibility to work well in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities 
  • High-energy, positive demeanor 
  • Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills (written and verbal) 
  • Strong organizational planning skills and understanding of project management concepts 
  • Effective problem-solving skills with an ability to identify issues and resolve, or identify the internal resources to assist
