The Opportunity:
The Scrum Master guides and coaches the team for optimal execution and effectiveness. This role is responsible for ensuring that the team follows agile values, principles and continuously seeks to improve the team's processes and practices.
Your Responsibilities:
- Guide and coach the team and organization to follow Agile/Scrum practices, facilitating Agile ceremonies as needed.
- Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and coach them to higher levels of maturity, at a sustainable pace.
- Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and radiate information throughout the organization.
- Ensure that impediments are identified and resolved. Raise issues to the appropriate personnel to remove impediments to delivery progress. Identifies & monitors issues in team performance/team dynamics that are impacting delivery.
- Keep the team focused on delivering to the project success criteria as defined by the business.
- Ensure that key metrics are captured, managed by the team, analyzed for improvement opportunities, and published to stakeholders.
- Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it.
- Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining (aka grooming) and managing the product backlog and release plans.
- Shepherd projects through the product development life cycle and provide coaching and guidance to the engineering teams on the process as needed.
- Manage & monitors project plan, schedule and budget.
- Lead the process of Continuous Improvement and shares Lessons Learned across delivery teams.
- Expand on industry knowledge and best practices. Identify and implement ways of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the engineering team.
Skills we need:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems, Software Engineering or similar.
- Advanced English level, both written and spoken.
- Solid experience as Scrum Master and Project Manager, working with Data Analytics or Infrastructure teams and tools.
- Significant experience coordinating technical projects spanning multiple tools, business processes, and operational domains.
- Experienced in bringing agile concepts to new teams.
- Experienced in Project Management frameworks/standard guides.
- Solid knowledge of Agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.).
- Experience with Agile techniques, like Automated Testing, User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Testing, Pairing, Agile Games, etc.
- Significant experience in stakeholder management or customer engagement management.
- Proficiency in Agile work management tools, such as Azure Devops or Jira.
- Experience in telling the story of an agile team beyond the metrics.
