The Opportunity:

You will coach and lead a team developing a leading EHR for the US healthcare market. You will mentor and guide the team, enabling them to collaborate on good design decisions and implement code with technical and process excellence. You will act as a subject matter expert working with other departments and teams.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Take a hands-on approach, leading a self-organizing Scrum team, ensuring process excellence, and providing technical leadership.
  • Build and foster team environment.
  • Take a leading role in systems and solutions design.
  • Contribute to software development.
  • Mentor the team members in areas of architecture, design, and process best practices.
  • Design efficient data organization and access including SQL queries.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner for providing high-level planning.
  • Lead the team in backlog refinement and estimation.
  • Contribute to a continuous improvement mindset within engineering.
  • Ensure best practices and coding standards, including code reviews.
  • Represent the team and communicate team activities and issues in leadership meetings.

Skills we need:
  • Technical or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another related degree.
  • Advanced English.
  • Proven experience leading teams.
  • Solid experience developing end-user applications and back-end services.
  • Solid experience developing Java/J2EE Web applications.
  • Proficient with Spring and ReactJS frameworks.
  • Proficient with Oracle or similar SQL database.
  • Experience with SQL query design and SQL databases.
  • Experience with scalable software performance and operability.
  • Experience with Scrum or similar agile frameworks..
  • Experience with source control using Git and continuous integration.

Desired skills:

  • Experience with multiple programming languages: Java, PL/SQL, JavaScript and SQL ANSI.
  • Experience with other technologies like Docker, Servlets, JMS and Tomcat.
  • Knowledge of streaming systems such as Apache Storm, RabbitMQ, Kafka.
  • Experience building microservices.
