The Opportunity:
You are primarily responsible for the creation and execution of automated functional, regression, load application tests in an agile development environment. You will review existing application functionality, product documentation, and manual test cases to create automated test scripts. You will help maintain the team’s automation quality standards and test systems. You will also design and write automated tests which will be used in system integration, performance, and failover testing.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design test plans and write test scripts for automated testing.
- Transform user stories, workflow diagrams, testing environments, and data sets into test scripts.
- Back-end test using database queries, scripts, and tools outside of the application UI.
- Review execution logs and trend analysis.
- Focus on ‘lessons learned’ for continuous process improvement.
- Mentor Associate and Staff level members of the team.
- Analyze Software Quality metrics to determine appropriate test strategies to remediate systemic issues.
Skills we need:
- Technical or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another related degree.
- Advanced English.
- Working knowledge of Quality Engineering concepts such as risk-based testing, exploratory testing and white box/black box testing.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD processes as they relate to quality engineering testing environments and deployments.
- Exp. developing automated tests in an agile environment with tools like Selenium web driver, Eclipse, Apium, TestNG or Gradle, preferably using an Object-Oriented approach for web-based applications.
- Exp. in functional, load and performance testing.
- Intermediate knowledge of writing and executing SQL queries to use in database testing.
- Agile experience.
- Familiar with TDD and Unit Testing.
