About the role

Join QTC’s Risk Division as a Market & Client Credit Risk Associate, supporting the assessment and management of investment counterparties and risks across our portfolio. You’ll contribute to credit analysis, market monitoring and portfolio insights while developing your technical expertise in a collaborative, high-performing team.

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Conduct investor counterparty assessments
  • Monitor client performance, market conditions and emerging risks
  • Building, maintain and enhancing financial models, Power BI reporting and analytical frameworks
  • Support credit risk assessments, financial analysis and borrowing recommendations
  • Prepare reports, Board papers and credit papers aligned with QTC’s risk framework and appetite
  • Contribute to covenant setting, credit limit monitoring and portfolio reporting
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support informed risk decisions
  • Assist with ongoing improvements to credit processes, systems and reporting
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support audit and compliance requirements

About You 

  • 3–5 years’ experience in financial markets or investment finance or treasury environment
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and risk management
  • Strong critical thinking, ability to identify to risks and deliver meaningful outcomes
  • Experience building Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards and strong excel Microsoft capability
  • Portfolio analytics or investment analysis
  • Experience in credit analysis, financial modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis
  • Strong financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment capability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clear insights
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative approach, with the ability to engage stakeholders, drive outcomes and build effective relationships
  • A proactive approach and strong sense of ownership

Qualifications 

  • Tertiary qualification in finance, economics, commerce or similar
  • CFA or postgraduate qualifications (or working towards) are desirable
