Purpose of Role  
  
We’re seeking an Associate and a Senior Associate, Social Services to join our Advisory Division. In this role, you’ll work closely with government departments, local governments, and government-owned corporations. Your focus will be on enhancing financial sustainability, operational excellence, and community safety outcomes.  
QTC’s Advisory Division is focused on supporting financial sustainability and operational excellence across Queensland’s Government Departments, Local Governments and Government Owned Corporations. The Advisory Division supports and assists these Government entities to:  
  • deliver their budgets
  • improve their client service delivery
  • identify and mitigate significant business risk, and
  • implement and sustain projects while building internal capability

Qualifications  
Essential  
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline required for professional roles.
   
Experience  
Essential  
  • Minimum 5 years employment experience in roles that demonstrate overall competency. 
  • Experience in the business operating model capability set with delivered results (preferred) or identified capacity to deliver results across the listed capability areas.
  • Experience in areas such as corporate finance, preparing business cases, feasibility studies, optimising businesses.
  • Relationship management skills including the proven ability to develop partnerships with clients and internal teams.
  • Skills in negotiating and facilitating discussions in a variety of situations.
  • Excellent report writing, financial analysis and PowerPoint skills.
  • Engaging and persuasive communication style.
  • Critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills, including demonstrated ability to effectively diagnose situations and develop creative solutions.
  • Experience in areas such as corporate finance, preparing business cases, feasibility studies, optimising businesses.
Desirable  
  • Experience working in consulting or advisory services.
  • Experience working in the community safety and/or social service sectors.
