Senior Technical Business Analyst – Cyber (12-months max term contract)
Description
We’re looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst – Cyber (12-months max term contract) to join our PMO and help deliver critical cyber security initiatives.
This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, translating business needs into practical cyber solutions and supporting delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects.
What you’ll be doing
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into fit-for-purpose cyber solutions
- Support project delivery through planning, scheduling, testing and documentation across a range of cyber initiatives
- Facilitate workshops and map current and future state processes, ensuring strong alignment to business outcomes
- Manage stakeholders and contribute to business cases, reporting, risks/issues and dependencies across the project lifecycle
- Support smaller initiatives end-to-end and help uplift PMO business analysis practices and standards
About you
You’re a seasoned Business Analyst with experience delivering complex cyber and technology initiatives.
- You bring:
- Strong experience leading technical BA work across projects in complex organisations
- Proven experience in cyber security projects and understanding of frameworks and controls
- Solid application of BA frameworks (e.g. BABOK) and structured analysis techniques
- Experience supporting technology and business change (systems, processes, uplift initiatives)
- Understanding of SDLC and delivery methods (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Desirable:
- Exposure to project management practices across delivery lifecycles
- Experience in public sector procurement or governance environments
- Familiarity with Azure / cloud technologies
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in IT, business analysis or similar
- Relevant BA certification (e.g. IIBA / BABOK)
