QTC’s Strategic and Financial Solutions Division is seeking a high-performing early-career professional to join our Capital and Property Team within the Economic Portfolios Group (EPG). Working closely with Queensland Treasury and other government stakeholders, the team provides strategic, financial and commercial advice on major property and infrastructure portfolios. Our focus is to support better economic outcomes for Queensland through evidence-based insights, strong commercial thinking, and effective project delivery.
As part of the Capital and Property team, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects, applying financial, commercial and data analysis to inform government decision-making across large-scale property and infrastructure initiatives.

As an Associate, you will:

  • Support the delivery of strategic, financial and commercial advice across government projects.
  • Undertake financial, commercial and data analysis to identify insights and inform decision-making.
  • Produce high-quality reports and outputs, translating complex issues into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Contribute to project workstreams, delivering to time, quality and governance requirements.
  • Integrate quantitative and qualitative information from multiple sources to develop evidence-based insights.
  • Support development of dashboards, reporting tools and analytical products.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and government clients, supporting strong working relationships, and present findings to clients and stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong analytical capability across financial, economic and/or data analysis.
  • Ability to distil complex issues into clear, logical and actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking capability.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative and commitment to continuous learning.

Experience and qualifications:

  • 2 to 5 years’ relevant experience in consulting, advisory, finance, economics or related fields.
  • Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, business, economics or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in report writing, analysis and presenting insights to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capability and ability to develop practical solutions.
  • Experience working in consulting or advisory environments, including exposure to government projects or policy environment.
  • Application of data and analytical techniques to strategic, commercial or policy decisions (highly regarded).
