We are seeking an experienced Principal with a consulting or advisory background and demonstrated experience delivering health, community, or social services Advisory projects for the public sector. In this role, you will lead high‑impact engagements that inform policy, shape strategic decisions and improve outcomes for Queenslanders and their communities.
You will operate confidently in sensitive environments balancing analytical rigour with strong judgement, integrity and stakeholder trust.
What you’ll do
- Lead complex advisory projects that inform and influence policy and service delivery decisions across sector-wide initiatives in health, disability services, education and community safety.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across health, social and public service portfolios
- Manage risk, confidentiality and integrity across all stages of sensitive engagements
- Synthesise insights from data and evidence to support clear, defensible recommendations
- Navigate evolving policy environments with agility and pragmatic problem‑solving
- Mentor and develop team members, building capability
What you’ll bring
- Proven consulting or advisory experience across health, human services or social impact portfolios
- Experience contributing to policy development, reform or service transformation
- Strong analytical capability, including the ability to translate complex data into practical advice
- Proven monitoring and evaluation experience
- Demonstrated project leadership and stakeholder management skills
- A strong commitment to integrity, confidentiality and ethical decision‑making
- Qualifications in finance, commerce, data analytics, public policy or a related discipline
